Blue Man School

I can't decide if this is awesome, or insane: 2 out of the 3 original Blue Man Group are starting a pre-school.

But after you’ve spent fifteen years spattering audiences with paint, pounding drums and pipes, spurting goo out of your chest, and spitting chewed-up marshmallows onto canvases, what’s next? For Goldman and Wink, married fathers in their forties, the answer was clear: start a nursery school for your kids and tell all your friends. Last week, the Blue Man Creativity Center (it can’t call itself a school until it gets state accreditation) welcomed forty-three boys and girls between the ages of two and four to its first day of classes and mayhem.

I wonder if the teachers pretend to be mute and get the class to follow directions from a dis-embodied voice with written directions on a large projection screen. That would be… different. "How to Be a Pre-Schooler, Motion #37: Run around and scream"

5 thoughts from a 11 day old dad

1) I'm tired, but not nearly as tired as Meg.
2) Apparently, being induced and having 2 different epidurals wear off isn't as fun as you'd think.
3) Baby eyes are other-worldly. They are every color and no color at once.
4) Having the entire blogosphere link to my new website while in the hospital with Meg and Cory was… interesting.
5) I'm going to really miss having Meg's mom do live-in-maid-and-nanny work when she goes back tomorrow.

this was going to be 10 thoughts from a 10 day old dad, but I've forgotten about half of what I wanted to blog (sleep? we don't need no stinkin' sleep), and the cable / electricity were out intermittently yesterday.

HOWTO: Pick a baby name

The Morning News has a handy guide on selecting baby names. My favorite option from the helpful chart is Electric Pixie Pants, or possibly Mister Kitten Sputnik.

Soundtrack suggestions?

I know some of my regular readers are following Meg's blog, but some of you have been scared away. In case you missed it, we're having one of those 3D ultrasound videos made, and I'm in charged of burning a CD for the soundtrack. As such, I would like to solicite soundtrack suggestions. As most of you will be subjected to viewing this video at some point in the future, make the suggestions good.
