Energy Independence In 10 Years
Shortly after 9/11 I really felt that the Republicans and Democrats dropped the ball. 9/11 should have been a wake up call to make the US energy independant from the Middle East. If we can go to the moon in 10 years, we can generate all our energy needs independently in 10 years time as well. Looks like some Democrats in power have decided it’s a good idea (link to a PDF, look for page 9). This proposal is part of a Democrat Innovation Initiative that I think has a lot of merit.
