Things I Want, 2005 Edition

For 4 years now, I’ve placed my gifts-I’d-like-to-receive-for-my-birthday-and-christmas-list on the web, mainly because my grandmother asks for the list, and I’m a sucker for creating long lists full of links.

• I’m very behind on my Terry Pratchett reading: The Wee Free Men,Going Postal,Where’s My Cow, and Thud –Thanks, Mom.
• Neil Gaiman appears to have been quite prolific since I last bought books as well: Anansi Boys – Thanks, Eva and Marvel 1602
• The Tick, Entire Series on DVD–wait. this is the live action series. I want the cartoon. which isn’t out yet. nevermind.
• Firefly, Complete Series. Shows this good deserved to be watched over and over again (in the correct order), even if Fox cancels them (after airing them in the wrong order.)
• Things to silence my noisy desktop PC:
  • Gigabyte GV-N68128DH GeForce 6800 128 MB video card.
  • Zalman Tech (CNPS7000BCU) CPU Fan
  • Antec Phantom 500 (PHANTOM500) 500-Watt Power Supply
  • Antec SONATA ATX Mid-Tower Case
• Other Fun Geek Toys:
  • USB GPS dongle, Because where ever you go, there you are.
  • DC to AC Power Inverter, because you never know when you’ll need to convert your car into a horribly Inefficient generator. Though my car would be less inefficient than most.
  • I could definitely use a few more 512MB SD cards. A 1Gig card would be neat too…
• I could use another charger for my cell phone.
• Aquarium Stuff:
  • Algae cleaning crew, 20 Gallon should be fine.
  • Plant plugs. These really seem to help establish roots in plant cuttings. I could use a few more.
  • or maybe just some gift certificates from the nearby big fish store.
