Warwalking

Meg and I took the dog and my laptop for a walk around the neighborhood tonight. I found 18 wireless networks, 15 of which were unsecured. 5 of which were named "linksys" it's enough that the thought of cancelling my cable service and mooching from the neighbors stayed in my mind more than briefly. I'll have to get me a GPS usb dongle so I can track down who has these access points.

Dima’s Art

My regular readers, both of you, are probably aware that my brother-in-law is an artist from St. Petersburg, Russia, who for the last few years has called Santa Barbara, CA his home. What at you may not know is what Dima's Art looks like, besides the decade old doodles he left in my parent's garage that I took to decorate my first apartment. Dimitri's got a new website, where you can actually take a gander at his new stuff. Unfortunately pictures and video screens don't do his artwork justice, you just can't see all the minute details he has in there, but you can get the idea. Go take a look. (I'm talking to you Googlebot!)

This past Saturday my sister, Dima and my niece moved all the way across the country to Boston. Hope you three enjoy your new city.

  • Firefly Marathon: This Saturday: This Saturday (Tomorrow), Meg and I are hosting a Marathon of Firefly from 10 am to 10 pm, watching all 13 episodes. If you're in the area and I haven't emailed you about this, I'm sorry, leave a comment or email me if you're interested and haven't told us yet.

On a totally unrelated note, have you see the "this week last year" box on the right side of the screen? Wow, was I crazy-productive blogwise this time last year. (0)

RSS Goodness

Netflix has had RSS feeds of your queue available for a while now. with some wordpress plugin magic, I've added some of those feeds to a page on this site, click on the "Data" link under pages on the right. When I find other interesting stuff, I'll throw that up under the same page. Mad props to the RSS Link List Plugin.
