2004 in Review: Part April
It's New Year's Eve, I'm at work, and it's not insanely busy. The insanely busy will occur monday. Computer Modelling(tm) suggests 1/03/2005 will be our busiest day of the month, possible of the year to come. Since the end of December seems to be The Time of Lists, I thought I'd make a list of all my blogging for the year with annotated comments. click that "more" thing to read more –>
- For some reason, my journal entries at slashdot have a big gap between Sept. 2003 and April 2004. I'm afraid it might have to do with the tax season thing we're about to start on monday. My first entry for the year was a boring little meme thing
- My next entry was inspired by a question asked by Perfessor Multigeek. The Good Perfessor has since been hurt badly in a house fire, and was having some health insurance problems. I hope he continues on the path to recovery.
- April 23, 2004 must have been a slow day at work. A little over an hour after the entry above, I posted the first entry to rishel.org.
- Three days later, the blog has the theme you see today. I also mention moving the cro.wox.org stuff over. Something I've still got on the backburner for when I'm bored and feel like punching the sql monkey.
- This looks like me attempting to be a gadget blog. It didn't fit.
- I'm still a little bummed by this news, Many Worlds was my favorite interpretation of quantum physics.
- I'm still trying to figure out how he got elected again.
- I'm still starting too many of these list items with "I'm still…" Stopping that now. I'm still working on how to deliver a whiff of "be friendly to strangers" pheremone to people who call me at work.
- Ah, New Zealand. So Pretty. So easy to make fun of.
- Blog entries like this one are fun to write, but they sure take a long time.
- Being stuck inside at work on a beautiful spring day isn't fun. Reading about a beautiful spring day you missed because you were at work while you're a work on a dreary winter day
isn't funnerisn't more funis less fun.
Wow, this whole "Year review in blog posts" thing is taking a lot longer than I thought. I'll be breaking it into months. Should be about 8 more before midnight.
